I am currently piloting the Rplix I, a two stage ship orbiting the world at 1.7 million km up at a constant speed of 650 m/s.

Since the Rplix I is still in flight and orbiting around the Earth, the Rplix II is scheduled to launch on October 12, 2011.
The Rplix II is planned to make a trip to the distance of the Moon, flip back around, and land flawlessly back on Earth.

And Doug, to answer your question... Rplix I is not orbiting the Earth, however, more so just seeing how possibly far a shuttle can go. Rplix II will be the one orbiting the Earth at the estimated distance of the Moon at 200,000 Km.

Yes lol. Basically what happened is the Rplix I went out of the Earth's gravitational pull so it is just moving away from Earth at a constant velocity of 8724.6 m/s. If there were other planets in this game then it would have slowed down by now. So basically it's in a constant velocity till the end of the universe.

All of us here at Kerbal Space Program are saddened by the loss of our Rplix I shuttle. It is said that after our machine that sent back live feed of the shuttle had a forced restart, the communication signal from the shuttle went dead. It is said that the Rplix I did indeed pass the 1 billion km mark, which is an achievement which will always be remembered.
