Just wanted to give a little information to our members residing in the houston area. I'll be developing a hacker-space out in the Beltway-8 area (west Houston) in the next few months. I am working on getting a not for profit license and then hopefully I can start a Kick-starter to get some money flowing in to rent a warehouse. If you've never heard of a hackerspace, its a place for people to learn hacking, soldering and general skills to survive in the tech and electronics world. It is a place with tools and knowledge to start and complete projects and also a place for people to meet and give back to the community by teaching classes and performing charity work. Let me know if anyone is interested in volunteering to get this up and running!
